Ancient World

Philosophers hold some common notion of knowledge.  This knowledge could become from experiences with the senses or rely on someone else for the information.  The questions of what and how we know started with the Greek philosophers. The philosophy of the Greco-Roman world from the sixth century bc to the sixth century ad laid the foundations for all subsequent Western philosophy.
